This little jacket has turned out to be one of my favorite and most versatile pieces, and it was a total impulse grab from Twice. It’s comfy, washable, goes with so many looks, and lightweight enough for summer wear but also (somehow) warm enough for colder temps. It actually makes me a bit aggravated when impulse buys become staples. I would like the things that I meticulously research for months on end to become staples. And they frequently do. But so does the occasional shot-in-the-dark purchase.

Does this happen to you, too? Any current wardrobe staples that were impulse buys initially?

I love this outfit! Layering with asymmetric hemlines creates a lovely point of interest. And yes, I am like you, I enjoy the search and time spent finding that perfect garment that will be a major player in my wardrobe, so when items that I buy on a whim that quickly become wardrobe workhorses can deflate me as equally as they thrill me lol.

I bought a high-low hem, sheer, cross (like religious cross) print black and white sleeveless dress while in the Philippines. I wore it once over there. Then I started Project 333 and I really didn’t want to give it up. Low and behold, I started wearing it layered, with leggings and a sweater, about once every ten days. It’s in my winter wardrobe permanently now!
