As I mentioned in a post earlier this week, sometimes what you wanna wear doesn’t flatter your figure in traditional ways. This cocoon cardigan is huge and bulky and eats my entire midsection and I just plain don’t care. It’s absolutely perfect for a slightly cool spring day, has an incredibly pleasing heaviness to it, and makes me feel happy. And so I wear it. The end.

As a petite woman who loves maxi skirts, I thoroughly endorse ignoring traditional figure flattery priorities.
I think there can be something that is still flattering about these proportions–especially if this ensemble makes you feel happy when you are wearing it!
You look fantastic. This is part of what “body positivity” means to me – being able to wear something that you like and enjoy, without feeling like “figure flattery” is your top priority. Your outfits are always such interesting and visually pleasing combinations of texture, color and print. That’s what I love about your personal style.
