Casual Outfit Roundup: Week of April 24

Already Pretty outfit featuring Tulle floral dress

Oatmeal sweater bolero, gift (via Anthropologie, no longer available) – more sweater boleros
Dress, Tulle Tulip Dress – courtesy Tullesimilar in more sizes
Tights, Target (no longer available) – similar
Boots, FRYE Harness 12R
Earrings, Bibelotsimilar

I adore this little floral dress, but the short hemline and wrap skirt may mean that it requires tights or leggings. We’ll have to see about that once the weather finally warms, but for now I love it with these bright tights.

Already Pretty Outfit featuring Tsubo Kirs

Denim jacket, Gap (no longer available) – similar
Dress, Athleta Organic Cotton Radiant Dress
Shoes, Tsubo Kirs
Vintage scarf, a gift from Audi
Watch, Skagen
Bracelet, self-made – similar

This was my Easter outfit. Since I knew I’d be doing some nephew-wrangling I went for a washable dress and flat shoes. The brown dress gave me the chance to wear this darling scarf that Audi recently sent me. It makes my 10-year-old self AND my present-day self rejoice.

Sometimes I get stymied with fantastic large-print scarves that that one, like it’s not good enough to bunch it up and obscure the print. Although, wearing it cape-like so the image is visible may not be the best, either. Love all the looks, babe, but especially the bolero and print dress one! Great “c’mon, Spring!” outfit!

I LOVE that scarf so much and it is the perfect finishing touch to your outfit Sal!

They are all great looks, but I particularly love the first one with the bright floral dress and the gorgeous tights. Such a perfect pre-spring look!

Aw yay, the scarf looks great! I like how the edge pattern forms stripes when it’s tied.

To Kristin’s comment, I think it’s fun just knowing the large central pattern is there; I don’t think it would really make sense to try to show it. Scarves are meant to be bunched up and tied, and what’s important is that the pattern still looks good that way.

    Absolutely lovely!
Not to mention impressive- nephew wrangling is certainly a fine art! Of late, I wear pants for my turn, but I think an adorable scarf is a more fun homage.

Oh, LOVE that Tulle dress. I’m tall but hate tights–I wonder how short it would be? This is why I have a love/hate relationship with internet shopping–no dressing rooms!

I’m a Kentucky girl so of course that scarf looks pretty fab, this being Derby week!

And I’m really surprised that pretty brown dress is from Athleta.

Loving loving loving the hot pink tights! I never wore tights (except black) until recently; I think that I thought they looked too girlish or something. But as I get older, ironically, I find that I look “serious” enough to pull them off and they just become a nice complement to an outfit. You wear them beautifully!

I lovelove that bolero and have to admit to some serious envy that you have it in two colors (or more?!) You look fabulous, and that horse scarf is super fantastic.

  9. Sheila

I love that scarf – my 10 year old self would have died for that. Are all 10 year olds still nuts over horses?
