Casual Outfit Roundup: Week of May 2

Last weekend was Wear Denim and Shove Your Hands in Your Pockets Weekend. You all got the memo, right?

Denim shirt, thrifted
Khaki skirt, eBay
Gray boots, Born Tessa
Scarf, stolen from my mom
Purple tee (that you can’t see), a mall in Sydney, Australia

This outfit is like hotdish: A little bit of everything thrown into the pot. But I think it turned out well. The skirt is a relatively new acquisition, and mighty, mighty short … but I love the fullness the pleats, and the pockets.

Chambray dress, Gap
Tan boots, Diesel Go-go
Turquoise and cinnabar necklace, polishedtwo

I bought and wore this in the same day. I’d been eyeing this dress on the Gap site for weeks, and once I tried it on? Game over. Such irresistible sassiness, am I right?

Another item I’d been eyeing for ages! I’m so glad I sprung for this necklace. I can already imagine about 15 summery outfits built around it.

Oh, these pictures are so incredibly beautiful, especially with those gorgeous pink flowers in the background of picture two! And did I mention that I never, EVER grow tired of seeing your lovely smile?!

You are rockin' the denim and boots girlie! And that necklace is amazing!

Oh my gosh, I think I DID get the memo! I wore a denim skirt with pockets on Wednesday, and spent most of the day marvelling about how wonderful it was to have pockets large enough to shove my hands into, on a skirt no less.

Skirts or dresses with pockets are amazing. ๐Ÿ™‚

Your outfits just keep getting better and better! You'll post one outfit and I'll think that is the best outfit she's ever put together, but then you do something even better. You are amazing and I love your blog!

love that necklace. I am stalking a jean dress right now, and I just bought a new jean skirt… because I totally needed another jean skirt. It's all about the jeans, I guess. ๐Ÿ™‚

Great outfits and great necklace! You're looking adorable!

I just got a dress with side seam pockets yesterday but you won't see my hands in them. I'm getting the pockets taken out. They ruin the line of the dress.

You are lookin great in the shorter tan skirt! Love it and the fullness is terrific!!! You rock this look!!!

  14. Ecc3ntricCynic

I love the scarf in the first outfit. The necklace has so much potential. I can't wait to see other ways you wear it.

  15. E

you're reminding me I need to bust out my boots again! I forget how cute knee highs can be with spring looks!

  16. All Women Stalker

The skirt is not short at all. In fact, if you don't mind, I will copy that look once it gets cold here. Which will not happen until late November ๐Ÿ™

  17. Londyn

You look AMAZING!!! Love the little dress and the scarf w/ the skirt = just adorable!

  18. Rad_in_Broolyn

I love the combination of the skirt, jacket, scarf and boots. Very Sal, and I dig the hotdish reference (what I do for some of that Frito salad I had at a picnic 3 years ago!) And you are really rocking the shirt dresses this season! Lots of drooling.

  19. (Hard G) Gillian

You look gorgeous in both outfits, and I love the necklace! I am now trying to resist buying one just like it. My mom is much more then necklace wearer than I am-future gift idea! Earrings are my weakness. Luckily (or unluckily for my wallet) there are some great ones in that etsy shop…

  20. Elissa

Beautiful photos! You look so nice in the shorter length skirt and helloooo that chambray dress is definitely one of those you'll have in the closet For Evah.
