The idea of perforated boots has fascinated me for several seasons. Since boots are, by far, my favorite footwear the notion of hot, humid weather-appropriate tall boots held tremendous appeal. I finally sprung for these a few months back, and have been waiting to try them out. It was neither hot nor humid when I wore them for their first outing, but I can say for certain that I adore them. Comfy, cute, and the only boots I own that allow for calf-breezes.

Love the DVF dress with the leggings and flats! Adorable and cheerful, but you look ready for anything! Hope you have a fantastic weekend, Sal!

  2. Stacy

That DVF dress is fabulous! I want something like that to “find” me. πŸ™‚

Looks great on you ! You always carry cheerful colors so well. Can you tell me if the sizes of DVF wrap dresses is smaller than other sizing ? Meaning, if I look for a used one on eBay, should I go up in size ? Many thanks.

    • Sal

Yes, definitely. I take a size 8 in nearly all other dresses, but a 10 in DVF!

Yes! on the DVF dress. You look radiant. I had one when I was in my 20’s (in the 70’s) and though I was All That — and I was! Those wrap dresses are always a yes.

Your fab perforated boots – are a good bargain at the link you provided. What do you think about the teal . . .?? They aren’t available in my size in your cool neutral.

You are doing a great job keeping up with the flats without compromising your style. I have no idea if I could do it. But looking at these pictures, contrary to what is tatooed in my head, I realize that flats don’t really make you look shorter or less thin – I guess it’s more that we are used to and like the look of heels.

I have so much to say about this roundup! Firstly… yay for the ponytail! I know how satisfying it feels to be able to finally sporting a pony when you grow your hair out πŸ™‚

Secondly Those perforated boots are darling! And I love the purplish dress with the jean jacket… thinking of an outfit (minus the boots sadly) I’m inspired to don now…

Finally… excuse my drooling. That DVF is fan-fucking-tastic. And that’s exactly how I’d wear it for a casual day. It looks gorgeous on you (and you look gorgeous in it!).

I love the wrap dress! Such gorgeous colors and a classic shape. That is my kind of shopping outfit – you don’t have to have a fitting room, just a mirror. πŸ™‚ Perfect for thrift shopping – cause I’m sorry but as much as I love thrift shopping, most of the their dressing rooms are kinda icky. πŸ™‚

I agree the colour of your long shirt is splendiferous and worth reinforcing the buttons – so beautiful!!! xo

  9. The Waves

I love the blue tunic; the colour is perfection. Also, I’m in love with your boots. πŸ™‚

Sorry to hear about the popped buttons! But you are rocking that wrap dress!! You always look so amazing in those searingly bright colors.

Really interesting about the perforated boots! I was curious about them too, and also adore boots–they look great on you! I also noticed them in your list of things to wear with the warmer weather, which is so fabulous to see because I’ve been having a tough time figuring out how to stay trendy, stay cool in the hot weather, and still be office-appropriate.

Also, I adored seeing the Gap denim jacket. I’ve had mine for years and won’t ever give it up. I recently posted a pic of it on my new blog:

Thanks for all the great tips and inspiration, Sal!

I love that tunic. Too bad about the buttons, that’s so annoying! Reminds me I should keep an emergency sewing kit at work… And I really love that 2nd outfit, such a cute little dress!
