This thrifted denim dress is actually too small to close, but I bought it expressly for dress layering. It makes an ideal top layer on brisk spring days like this one.

love the denim dress look. Very sexy xx
Sally – I LOVE how you used the denim dress as a top layer. It looks great on you and is such a great idea as I think denim dresses by themselves can be tricky.
Thanks for sharing 🙂
What a great way to wear a denim dress!
Sal, you look soooo sexy in that first outfit! I love the denim dress as layering piece.
Fantabulous outfits, especially the denim dress. Lady, I would love to see a snap of all your shoes and boots in one place – you have an amazing collection!!
Loving that second outfit especially. It looks very comfy and casual, yet so put together.
I adore that denim dress worn as a topper! It's so cool and rock and roll, especially with those boots.
I hope you're feeling better – sounds like a nasty bug. But I love your bright layering over neutrals in that look.
Have a great weekend, Sal!
I recently thrifted a denim dress, inspired by you, and I think it'll probably work better as a top layer. Thanks for the inspiration, again!
I can never get over you in red. You just look so great in it.
And boots and denim are very very sexy in first outfit.
you are a=mazing. I thoroughly admire folks who can feel wretched esp stomach wretched and look foxy when they venture out. I adore this out fit… and heels? and nausea? you are dedicated. I would have my sweat pants, running sweat shirt, and probably birkenstock clogs. ooops.
Sally – Check out this link. . . it has itself quite a few links to fashion and women and cycling . . . reading your prior posts I thought you would be interested. . . Pam

I like that denim dress.
Being a "pear" I have issues with dresses sometimes. If they fit in the shoulders then it can be a tight fit across the hips.
It used to be that I'd go up a size to get the hip-fit, but lately I've been feeling like fit in the shoulders is the first thing you see and should be paramount.
What's your take?
LOVE the first one!!
Loveeee your boots!!
great blog <3

I adore the second look. I love your tank dresses. I hope you're feeling better.
Two amazing outfits. Love the purple and olive in the first one. Hope you're feeling better now.
Just found your blog 🙂 Love the boots in the first pic!

You always look so adorable in your photos! I need to take some smiling pointers from you! I end up just looking awkward most of the time!
You look great for someone who felt so sick that day! I love the layering of the denim dress – what a great buy.
The second look is just perfect for your coloring. I love how you mixed red and brown and that scarf totally puts together the whole look.
Love both layered looks! Hope you feel 100% soon.
That denim dress looks great as a coat.
great boots with the denim look! and the second outfit is darling! Hope you are having a nice weekend! 🙂
I really love your combination of dresses- has inspired me many-a-time.
holy shoegasm… both of these shoes are AWESOME and totally rock with the outfits.
I LOVE the western dress worn open with the shorter one underneath… the colors are fabulous together.
And you're wowing me with the outfit you donned while feeling barfy. Just gorgeous layering, and again with the shoes! Love it.
i love that you felt icky but still accessorized. sometimes taking the energy to do something like that can make you feel just enough better to get through the chore at hand.
