Casual Outfit Roundup: Week of November 20

I just adore the sleek, long lines of this sweater duster but I always seem to pair it with black and earthy neutrals. Gotta push that envelope next time! Though it certainly looks lovely with these subdued tones.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with a group of women who have formed their own Fashion Club. (Yeah, I’m jealous of them, too!) They were just marvelous and we had a whale of a time gabbing about color, figure flattery, body image, and dressing to feel fab.

No snow . . . then snow! I am just a tiny bit jealous here in FL. Love your sweater duster, and those Diesel boots too – so cool. Boots weather for you for the foreseeable future, I reckon : >

Hi Sal! LOVE the look in the first photo; no need to apologize or feel the need to push the envelope–looks like perfection to me, and so striking with your dark hair. Enjoy the weekend, Teresa!

Aargh, snow. I’m already feeling traumatised and we don’t even have any. I love that first outfit, especially.

I love the outfit in the first picture, really pretty. Wish I could see snow–haven’t seen it since 5th grade. I’m 50…

    Lovely outfits, Sal!!!!
I have a question though – would you mind commenting on the Prairie Underground jeggings? I’ve been considering getting jeggings for a while now, and have been thinking about the Prairie Underground ones, but they’re a bit of an investment and I don’t think I can try them on at a store near-by. How do they feel? What it is that one gets from the extra money (they are rather expensive considering some other options out there)? Do they hold their shape throughout an entire day of wearing? What do you think of their sizing? Thank you!!!

    • Sal

Mar, they feel great, but they do stretch out a bit. I adore mine because of the high waist and seaming detail, but they do bag a bit after a day’s wear. Sadly.

Oh, sizing … I take a size 10 or 12 pant and the size large are a bit big on me, but I haven’t tried a medium.

Hey Sal, Hope you had a lovely Thanksgiving. I am really digging the various types of longer sweaters. The duster and the burgandy sweater coat seem like two great examples. Would you consider doing a blog on how to incorporate these longer sweaters into a wardrobe. I’m petite and often find myself shying away from these but I’d like to embrace the longer sweater coat! Tell us how it’s done!

I love sweater dusters on you; you always do those just right. I’m going to have to get at least one in my mix. I’m here in MPLS, too, so I appreciate seeing how you’re dressing for our seasonal shifts.

That first look is a real winner! SO elegant on you. All are great. I’m liking you in pants. I know they have never been your favorite, but you look great in them.

The first one needs booties. The white feet cut the line at an unattractive angle.
