Hmmm, it occurs to me that, since I never wear this blazer unbuttoned it might actually be … a shirt. A very wooly, structured shirt. It’s been a while since I did a necklace pile, but once I got going with this outfit it was hard to stop. Everything else felt marvelously tomboyish, so gobs of rhinestones created the perfect balance. I wore this for a cozy girls’ night in chatting with a dear friend. read more

Do you see blues? Purples? I swore that scarf was a mess of gorgeous blues, but when I pulled out some navy and cobalt items to assemble this outfit both shades looked completely wrong. This skirt and pair of shoes look blue to me most of the time, but more on the purple side of blue and they definitely bring out the purples in that printed scarf. I do realize that blues and purples are closely related and that there are blue-purples and purple-blues. But something about confusing my colors just plain irritates me. read more
