I love this tunic so hard with its quirky print and darling a-line shape … but the pockets never quite sat right. So, much as it pained me to de-pocket ANYTHING, I sewed them shut and now when I wear the tunic I look a lot less like I’m smuggling baby bunnies at my hips. I think it’ll get loads more wear now post-pocket-adjustment. read more

When I think of leggings, I think of cotton blends. There are some synthetics floating around out there – in fact, I think all of the fleece-lined leggings are nylon- or rayon-based – but I prefer cotton for myself. My friends over at Shop Adorn raved about these M.Rena leggings so I jumped at the chance to try a pair … but they’re rayon. And one size, which means they’re a bit sheer on me. AND SO. They shall henceforth be one of my warmest pairs of tights! Thick but not nearly as thick as the fleece-lined kind, and marvelously comfy with a super high rise. I don’t wear leggings as pants and my cotton leggings look a bit odd worn under skirts, but these? These are legging-tights. Teggings. Lights? Whatever. I just wish I’d discovered them during the Deep Freeze months. read more

Comfy shoes are non-negotiables for my shifts at Corset. The last time I worked retail was in college and OOOOOH BOY was I younger and spry-er back then. Walking around for seven or eight hours straight takes its toll on me, and my trusty Veras are about as high as I can go. This theory has been tested, and there have been days when I thought my dogs would never stop barking. Keep your eyes peeled for more flats in the coming months! They’re gonna get a workout. read more
