Today’s outfit may look relatively unremarkable, but it has been carefully engineered for several purposes. I had to attend and help style a photo shoot at the StarTribune today, prepping images for one of my upcoming feature articles. I needed to wear flat shoes since I knew I’d be on my feet for many hours. I needed to wear gray tights, since we photographed several pairs of socks on my own legs and neutral hosiery was required. And I needed to wear solid, flattering colors up top since they did a headshot for me today.

LOVE. That cardi is exactly the kind of flowy, happy piece I am resolving to add to my own wardrobe this year!
Well done!
Gorgeous! And perfect for your mission.
The purple is so pretty on you!!
This cardigan could be a wrap dress! The boots look very comfy and it sounds like all went well.
Oooh, it could! I should try pinning it.
That’s a gorgeous color for you, Sal – and you wear it beautifully!
Those boots are awesome. Keep showing us great flat and low heeled shoes. I had to cancel my visa to the land of high heels.
That cardigan is gorgeous. I like it with the funky boots.
I’m very curious — how does one pronounce ‘cydwoq’?
Like “sidewalk.”
I adore the rich colour of your cardigan, it looks so cosy too! 🙂
Wow, this is a gorgeous and yet still comfortable ensemble. And I LOVE those boots! Great job!
Wow, that cardigan is stunning and looks divinely comfy. And I also have to say that your short hair just keeps getting cuter and cuter!
You look great! Love the colour of your cardi 🙂
I love this whole outfit, the cut and color of the cardigan, the necklace, and especially the boots. I may be drooling a bit over the boots.
Ooh, I’m excited to see it when it comes out! And you are so right on that color, gorgeous on you!
You look cozy and happy, Sal.
I’m curious about your tights. I love the Falke tights I have and would love to get more. The Falke link here goes to the site in Germany with a choice of other countries, none of which ship outside of their respective borders. How did you get around that?
Thanks for any tips you may have.

Oh! The link to this specific pair goes to Shopbop – you can get the 100 Denier there. http://rstyle.me/7qisdm7e
They’re also sold at lots of major department stores. Just Google Falke and hit the “shopping tab.”
I love living in Canada but Falke doesn’t know we exist, at least not in my part of the world.
I’ll try your suggestion and see if I can be proven wrong. Thank you.
Oh, sorry, Dale, I misunderstood. I know shipping to Canada can be virtually impossible … but it does look like Shopbop ships to Canada for free on orders over $100!
This is really nice! Purple and grey work so well together.
That cardigan is such a beautiful color, and I like how you’ve kept everything else simple. I’ve had a crush on those boots now for two years at Ped Shoes, but I wasn’t sure the purple edges of the black leather would make enough of an impact in the real world (as opposed to the world of online photos). But they do!!! Now I wish I’d gotten a pair. Oh well, maybe Ped will get my size again… I do love Cydwoq!
