This autumn has been such a gift. I can’t believe I’m still able to do bare legs this late into the season. Someone reminded me that last year at this time, we had 17 inches of snow. 17 INCHES. I’m sure we’ll get all that and much more once winter settles in, but for now? I want to French kiss the weather. Can that be arranged?

I’d planned to do these socks and booties with a very different outfit – cropped denim jacket and belted shirtdress – but something wasn’t right. Loved the feet, wasn’t wild about the rest. So I grabbed this sleek, sassy sweater dress, which seemed to work better with the funky footwear. And yes, it was a day of very, very careful walking.

This is a great looking dress on you. My only suggestion is that the dress would be even more flattering if it was just a bit longer–for the sake of proportion. Just a little extra length can add a lot of elegance. Great boots!

I am so jealous of your weather. And your sweaterdress.

There’s rain mixed with snow in the forecast here this weekend. Something seems very, very wrong if Oregon gets snow before Minnesota.

Those booties! My word. I love grey with dusty purple/pink/mauve/whatever color that actually is. As much as I go for bright colors, muted colors are also so pretty.

I’m pretty glad that the rest of the country is experiencing a warm late fall myself–I wouldn’t be too pleased with the idea of being snowed in while visiting Tia in Chicago.

HolyMonsterBoots, Batman! Those are awesome. I think the ‘simple’ dress is a perfect pairing for letting the boots take the stage.

Great looking dress! Love that color! Is it available in different length? And those booties are soo cute…
Your right! I also can’t believe this weather! With the price of oil on the rise, hopefully this weather can stay mild for a while longer….

Oh wow I love the socks and booties. I’m such a weenie when it comes to socks… I have no problems mixing 3 different animal prints, or wearing 5″ heels in bright cherry red, but socks and pumps? Terrifying. Booties and socks? I wimp out at the last second. I’m not sure why I have that particular block, but there it is 🙂

What a cute way to do socks with booties!

I love your short hair, Sal. I think your facial features are highlighted very well with that cut.

Also, I’m enjoying your fall vicariously. The trees are beautiful.

Sal, this is simply stunning … or simple AND stunning! The bootie/sock combo was the perfect touch!

Also – totally random – but I thought about you today. I think it was you, anyway. I haggled at Goodwill today and got a damaged item for half off! Was that your advice or am I giving misdirected credit? 🙂
