Well, today’s outfit was not my best work. I am still feeling a little under the weather and it’s -16 here in MN, so I was going for easy, comfy, and warm. But I ended up looking sickly, frumpy, and bizarre. So instead:
In case you want proof that I was really sick. Husband Mike made me keep my tissues for three of the eight sick days. I started calling them โmy thousand paper cranes.โ
Here’s hoping tomorrow is warmer. And that I feel like wearing something that isn’t huge, black, and formless.
Feel better soon!
Oooh, hope you feel better very soon!
Awwwww … such a sweet photo of you. I see you were pounding the ginger ale.
awwww… feel better.
If it means anything you look absolutely adorable in that photo, about five years old, but still adorable.
Haha! Ewwww!! LOL – thats exactly what it looks like next to my bedside when I dont feel well.
Hope you feel better soon!
Oh, and I thought it was funny, I was once, many moons ago, a "Communication Coordinator" once at Chase, and I have never, ever met anyone with that same title before. So..wheee!!! LOL.
Mmm pile of sick.
Have lots of garlic, onions, and fluids. Keep warm and feel better soon.
Awe hope you feel better soon.
Aw, poor Sal! Take care of yourself. Plenty of rest.
Oh, man! That's an insane amount of tissues!
I've gone through two boxes in one day…and I have a cold coming on now. Darn! I know you feel lousy but the picture is adorable!
Is it wierd that I think the 8 thousand tissues look pretty cool? Why yes, it is.
Also, when I saw this photo, I thought you could be like an ad for a medication. Great photo, and get better soon!
Poor Sal! Gets lots of (steaming) fluids! I hope you feel better soon.
Feel better soon.
OH MY GOSH! This is so hilarious. Not that your sick but those tissues!!!! Whoa. I do hope you get to feeling better soon! Seems like everyone was hit with this thing, across states and oceans! Tis the season I guess! Dangit!
Aww, you poor thing. This pic made me laugh, you look so cute.
Now following your blog ๐
I'm sick too so I totally understand how you feel! I spent the whole day in sweats laying on the couch with a pile of tissues about as big as yours. Feel better soon! : )
That's an awesome photo! But then again, it's really not-awesome because it means you're sick! ๐ i hope you feel better soon!
heeheehee… reminds me of that scene in You've got Mail!
Feel better!
You look like a very serene Buddha sitting there amongst your paper cranes! Feel better soon x
Oh dear lord!! What a hilarious photo despite very unhilarious circumstances! Get well soon– although with temperatures like those, I'd appreciate any opportunity to hibernate… ๐
Maybe I'm just wacky (a definite possibility), but I love this picture! ๐ In a "been there, done that" sympathetic way. Nothing better than curling up, bumming around, and generally relaxing when sick!
Sending you lots and lots of get well wishes, Sal!

Blooming hell!
I am most impressed, but really hope you get totally better soon!
I hope you feel better soon!
Isn't it weird that so much snot can come out of one head? How much storage space do we actually HAVE in our sinus cavities?
Angela Pea: I KNOW! Where does it all COME from?!?
Best outfit post…possibly ever.
Sorry you're still feeling under the weather hon. I can't even imagine being sick in negative degree temps. On the upside, that photos is adorable.
Aw Sal!!! Feel better!
Also, I'm totally bitching that the windchill here is like 6, I cannot fathom having to deal with -16!
Ha! This is so cute! I'm always amazed when I'm sick and go through 2-3 full boxes of kleenex – where does it all come from?!?
Love this! Also, feel better soon!
So sorry you're feeling under the weather. (what does that mean anyway? when you feel good are you OVER the weather?)
Huge props to you for posting that charming thousand cranes photo. ๐ I don't know many people who'd share their sickly photo with the world. And sheesh, with temps like -16 I'm awed that you even bother to leave the house.
Hoping you get well soon.
That photo is captivating. And personally, I like to see the huge pile of tissues when I am sick b/c it's a visual representation of how crappy I feel. Nothing is worse than being really sick and miserable, but still sounding and looking normal. I want proof of my misery!
Is it weird that I think that's actually a terribly wonderful picture of you?
That's incredible. And a little gross. But worth it for the image. Definitely tells the story we've all lived. I hate those never-ending tissues colds.
