Already Pretty Daily Outfit 2/7/11 featuring Miz Mooz boots

Cropped pink cardigan, thrifted – similar(this is the EXACT shape, color, and brand … but there must’ve been a women’s version at one point, cuz mine is a medium)
Notch neck pink dress, thrifted – similar shape, similar color
Gray tights, can’t remember – similar
Gray boots, Miz Mooz Gayle, courtesy Miz Mooz
Scarf, thrifted – similar

As I gear up for my trip to New York and prepare to spend a week wearing a capsule wardrobe designed to accommodate near-constant wearing of my Sorels, I find myself wanting to wear lots of girly stuff, lots of colorful stuff, and some long-neglected shoes and boots. And so we have shocking pink and the Gayle boots!

LOVE the bright pink! And, as an Old Navy employee, yes, I can verify that your sweater did exist in grown-up form. We usually get in those little cropped cardis in March in prep for the sundresses–i’d look for them again soon! πŸ™‚

And, btw, I saw you quoted in the Glamour Minneapolis feature and found myself thinking, “I KNOW her!” πŸ™‚

This post actually made me so happy! You look great and the colour combination is just perfection itself.
The scarf is a winner, very retro-cool.

You are SO FAB in hot pink. I love it in the midst of all the weather dreariness!

Sal, I live in New York and just wanted to say that if you’re staying in Manhattan, you won’t really need to bother with snow boots. Snow gets cleared so quickly around here that heavy duty boots are rarely required. I get by just fine with my Frye Carsons most of the time. Besides the weather is looking great for the next 10 days!

Wow, what a fabulous outfit! And at first I didn’t even realise the cardi was separate, it is such a good colour match. I absolutely love colour in winter, this whole outfit is just gorgeous x

Um, I think I kind of *heart* you a little more. I absolutely adore this whole outfit. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – pink is perfect for almost everyone!

I’m a little late to this but I have to say that I love your new haircut! It’s so great! I actually just had a dream last night that I cut my long hair into that same cute little bob you’re sporting and was wearing it wavy and short like that and loving it. Then you go and prove me right – it it super cute πŸ™‚ Maybe it’s the hair fairies trying to tell me something… πŸ˜‰

LOVE IT!! How did you tie your scarf? I am wanting to incorporate more in my wardrobe but not sure to tie them for the different looks.

    • Sal

I folded it in half (into a triangle), then tied it loosely, bandana-style, behind my neck! Super easy!

Oh my! I did not think it was possible to look so sophisticated while wearing so much hot pink, but you did it! I love the way the scarf ties the boots and tights in. Fabulous x a million!

I adore that dress, and I love it even more paired with the cardigan and with that awesome scarf. You’re vibrantly gorgeous in the winter, Sal!

Your colorful outfits are truly inspiring. I fear I’m falling into the dangerous habit of dark greys and (gasp) hoodie sweaters from working so much from home. I need a colorful kick in the wardrobe pants like this to keep things jaunty! πŸ˜‰

Wow! What an incredible color on you – gorgeous!

I’m also LOVING your hair this length. It’s so flattering and really makes you look long(er) and lean(er)! πŸ™‚
