Husband Mike commented that I wasn’t running AS late as usual this morning. I informed him that dressing for warmer weather is quicker and easier. Also that I am wearing a dress and boots that worked together immediately, no futzing needed. I love it when a plan comes together.
Also please observe:
THAT’S RIGHT I HAVE A BLACK BELT IN MATCHY AND YOU ARE SO JEALOUS.

Amazing. I bow down.
I *am* jealous! That dress is so flattering, and those boots are the bee’s knees. Lovely!
I love this outfit. I don’t think I would wear it because it doesn’t seem like me, but I love it nonetheless!
Perfect – I love it!
The matchymatchy is so PERFECT. I am jealous of your mad skillz. I love the print on that dress and the MM boots are the perfect match.
I love this dress…it is a keeper!! you look fabulous in it!!
I totally stared at this picture, confused because you weren’t wearing a black belt. Eventually I got it, but the heat getting to me. I’m impressed with the matchy matchy shoes and bag.
I’m so relieved you said that because I did the EXACT same thing. “What black belt?” That aside, the match between the boots, dress and bag is amazing! I’m especially impressed that Sal didn’t purchase these items all at once — that happens to me occasionally, when I get things home and an outfit just GELS, and it feels like the heavens have opened and blessings are being showered on my head.
Also, I’m prone to hyperbole. But still, it’s a good feeling….
Hahaha! I did the exact same thing! I read that comment, scrolled up, looked at the dress, was like, “What black belt?” Scrolled back down, read it again…began scrolling back up, and the sack of DUH hit me right in the face in mid-scroll.
I also did the same thing.
That last comment made me laugh out loud so that my whole family stopped what they were doing to ask me what was so funny. Needless to say, they didn’t find my explanation humorous. Now they just think I am crazy.
Good job, Sal!
This is fantastic! So stylish yet relaxed, coming together so naturally. Matching superpowers – activate!
I don’t even understand the matchy-matchy hate. Maybe it gets boring if you match everything all the time, which is still not a reason to hate on it… That dress, boots, and bag are great together.
This outfit is pure perfection. Everything just ties in so well. The texture of the bracelets and watch, and the colors of the bag, boots, and dress. Bravo π
Matchy-matchy for the win! Now, why does the style blogosphere insist there’s something wrong with matching?
This dress looks like it was made especially for you! The fit is superb, and I also adore the pattern and that it goes perfectly with your boots. You are right, dressing for warmer weather can be easier.
I LOVE that dress and the mauve/ turquoise combination in your bag and boots! *drool*
Black belt in matchy is right- such a great combo, sen-sei!
You look great in this dress—it is so flattering on you—color, style and length!
OMG I love you. Bahahaha! Thank you for my daily laugh (it’s been a pretty unfunny day until now.) I also had to read that sentence over before it sunk in… I can’t decide what my favorite element of this outfit is- the awesome hardware on your arm, the cute boots which I may put on my wishlist or the eclectic print of the dress! Matchy FTW π
Ooooh, I love the teal bag and rosy boots with that dress. Such a great look. Also, glad to see you are back in heels. Hope this means your back is feeling better. π
Thank you for the sweet comment on my blog. I really appreciate the feedback. π
Hahahaha. Clearly I should’ve gone with “I AM A MATCHY NINJA” or something less confusing for my little matchy horn-tootling festival.
This outfit is phenomenal. I love that you manage to look so amazing and put-together in an outfit consisting only of a dress, boots, a bag, and bracelets. You win at styling!
All hail Sal, the queen of matchy-matchy! π
I adore matchy-matchy, particularly when it’s unintentional, and you do do it so well.
Isn’t there a rust belt in matchy? That would be better than black. π Ha!
I love your matchy-matchy, Sal. Don’t ever give it up!
i love the collar and the buttons on it. too adorable for words!
From one black belt (Karate) to another, I salute you!
Anyway I absolutely love this getup, yes, that dress is perfect!! You look so great.
I’ll be your padawan. The Force is strong with me.
You do have a black belt in matchy! I am astounded that both boots and purse pull colors out.
Way toooooooo cute!
Actually I am jealous! Love this dress, and your style.
OOoooohhhh – that frock is so pretty and you are, definitely, the Mistress of Matchy Matchy. I love those jewel tones on you, Sal.

What a fun print! And that is my favorite kind of matchy–take a print with many colors, and match various accessories to those colors without matching the accessories to each other.
I love many, many of your outfits, Sal, but this is just stellar. Fantastic.
Those boots are A-MAZING, and I’m loving the cluster of bracelets!! Overall, a super cute outfit!
Oh. My. God. There is a void in my life where this outfit should be. Although I would settle for just the bag. Everything about this is perfect.
I AM jealous of your matchyness and the fact that you have boots in EVERY color of the rainbow and then some. Sigh… so, so good. So, so matchy.
We bow down before your Matchy-matchiness, because you are AWESOME at it! You keep inspiring me to seek out new combinations as I never know what just might go perfectly together–matchy-matches made in heaven. Thanks!
Ooh Sal, that’s gorgeous!!!
This outfit is gorgeous. Being a terrible color/pattern/print mixer, this is totally my speed. That dress is stunning and I love that the boots and bag tie in so perfectly. If I could get my wardrobe to a place where I could dress like this all the time, I’d be happy.
And I am jealous of how figure flattering that dress is!

I AM TOTALLY JEALOUS. I actually looove matchy matchy outfits. It just feels right. And so I love this. π
Wow, what a dress. That’s just the kind of item (particularly the print) that I would never choose on a rack. But, wow! It looks great!
“A black belt in matchy”? Ha! That’s why I love your blog!
I AM SO JEALOUS. :p
I love the print on your dress and how you’ve picked the colours out in your boots and bag. Lovely.
Those boots! It’s just turning winter down here in Australia and these are going right on my ‘need’ list =P
