I avoided the “stars and stripes” cliche and went right for the weather-focused one instead. Couldn’t even help it.
It was a balmy 75 degrees yesterday, but late last week we had this: Sleet, ice, and about 8 inches of snow. And that’s spring in the Midwest for ya. I have grand plans to pile all of my remaining snow-on-the-ground outfits into a marathon Saturday post, but fear that doing so will bring a blizzard upon us. I’ll probably do it anyway. I’m happy to be the scapegoat for this fickle weather.
For the record, this is a floor-sweeping maxi and I wore it INSIDE all day. Not the best skirt for slogging through sleet and snow, but that’s what we had when photo-taking time rolled around!

Seems like the longest, strangest winter ever for you Midwesterners. Love the swirly skirt!
Love this outfit, and the contrast against the snowy background! I can’t wait to see your snowy day outfit post. In past years we had so little wintery weather in Texas that I could get by with just one work-appropriate winter outfit. This winter, we experienced it much more frequently and I was at a loss for multiple outfits, so I can’t wait for new inspiration. I actually bought my first maxi skirt this winter, so this photo gives me a good idea now to wear it!
Love it, love it, love it. Such a great combination of prints!
gorgeous and pretty as alwas!! http://qr.net/tr4Y
