Recently, a friend of mine organized a gathering of women who are facing mid-career challenges so we could discuss and brainstorm amongst ourselves. I cannot TELL you how invigorating and energizing it was to chat with these smart, driven, ambitious women and swap ideas. They were among the first to see physical copies of my book, and I was thrilled by their positive responses!

As for the outfit, I nabbed this blouse for $2 only to discover that similar ones retail for over $200. Even regardless of all that, I adore the lively pattern and whispery silk fabric. Perfect for hot weather wear.

I thought that top was gingham in the thumbnail and I loved it. But now that I see it’s actually polka dots, I LOVE it. Such a great look. And the fact that it’s Equipment and you got it for two bucks?!! I bow down before your thrifting skills, Sal.

I always like red during the summer. Since I haven’ said it yet, congratulations on the book!

I’d love to see a tutorial on how you tie shirts. That may seem silly, but they always look so smooth and fitted on you, while mine are a bunchy, billowing mess.

You always look super saucy in red!

Also, the idea of a brain trust for the purposes or brainstorming about your life is genius. I’m probably going to implement one immediately!

I love this outfit! I wore one similar yesterday after being inspired by this post. A white sundress with a light purple button up tied over it…and kitten heels. It got a lot of compliments. Thanks for the cool idea, Sal!!!
