Thankfully, not THAT cabin in the woods. Great movie, though! Husband Mike and I spent last weekend in the Mille Lacs/Brainerd area. Giving you a double outfit for this one.

I used this trip as an excuse to haul out my big, cozy sweater coats. Turns out, they weren’t quite cozy enough. You can’t see it, but it’s snowing a little in this photo. Not a ton, but just enough to force me to revert to a pullover and parka for our outdoor exploration. This sweater was perfect for indoor cabin lounging, though!

Our cabin was on a little lake which made for some fabulous views, especially at sunset. It was also incredibly windy when we did this outfit shot. Don’t believe me? Allow me to share outtakes:
I call this one, “Mighty Mutant Cowlick.”
And this one, “Temporary Wind Pregnancy.”

lol. I love the outtakes and am jealous that you’re already in sweater coat weather. I think tomorrow will be chilly enough for me to wear one though, so hopefully I won’t be jealous for long.
Love the cozy sweaters! “Temporary Wind Pregnancy,” too funny!
What a beautiful place to get away too! Love the big cozy sweaters; I hope it’ll be cool enough to wear one soon :-).
i loooove the sundance sweater! and all the crunch leaves.
oooh, I love these! So warm and snuggly… and slimming. The ‘temporary wind pregnancy’ made me giggle.
Love this series as this is what I do a lot, spend time outdoors. I assume you didn’t hike in those boots tho, nice as they are. How about indoors cuddling duds?
Fun to see these! I was in Brainerd area too – (at a high school football game of all things) and was heavily bundled up but still stylish (sort of).
Some ideas for “indoor cabin cuddling” would be great … I’ve found long underwear can be utilized as leggings!
Love the sweater coats. It is supposed to be in the 80’s here today and through the weekend. Hopefully, I can wear something like that by Thanksgiving. Thanks for the outfits. I get so many good ideas from your posts.
Great cozy fall looks. We are at 68 degrees today….
