Husband Mike and I swung by the main drag of nearby town Wayzata to check out the shops, and did so on a day that was making every living thing cry out for heat-related mercy. Perhaps you can tell by the bright, bright sunshine that it was a completely cloudless day. I was incredibly grateful for this breezy cotton, washable dress! Gah. The heat. It hottens me so.

The heat has been quite unbearable. I hope the rain comes back soon! You looked super cool despite the lack of clouds and overbearing sun.

I am totally stealing your wonderful turn of phrase: “The heat! It hottens me so!”

Love the dress! and here’s to clear, cloudless days!

You look über-cool in that dress – love the blues, the pattern, and the great silhouette.

“The heat. It hottens me so.” Bwa-ha-ha-ha! LOVE IT! Reminds me of Jane Austen: “What dreadful hot weather we have. It keeps me in a continual state of inelegance.”

Cute dress! I would love something like that!

Oh, I love the dress and the slightly darker necklace really adds to it.

I have neither the patience or self control to have as many beautiful pieces of clothing, how could you have NOT worn this sooner!. I would want to wear this dress every day until it was just too cool outside to wear, but you manage to pull together an outfit like this everyday! It’s such and art (one I am trying to learn!) And such self control to put together an outfit in your head and NOT want to wear it immediately.

    love it!

and I know, the rest of the country is sweating it out … and I should be grateful … but I’m shivering in my (rental) house, wearing jeans, thick socks, and two shirts on a cool (but still muggy – ugh) day here in Seattle. Ugh. It doesn’t help that I’m fresh in (4th day back) from the glorious dry heat of Southern Spain – right now I feel like summer is everywhere except here. bah!
