Dressed for: Round Two

Already Pretty outfit featuring camel blazer, black turtleneck, gray jeans, black platform ankle boots

Camel blazer – thrifted – similarsustainableused options
Turtleneck – thrifted – similar/sustainable
Jeans – H&M (no longer available) – similarsustainable
Boots – Paul Green Darcy – cheaper/used on eBay

Camel-colored things: Long have they stymied me. I’m always drawn to the richness of this neutral but then seem to struggle to style it. This thrifted blazer, however, has such a fabulous shape that it’s proving less challenging than some of my other/previous camel items. Here’s hoping I’m on a roll!

Yes, you’ve nailed this one. I can also see this lovely blazer with a crisp white shirt and black pants or over a black or cream sweater dress.

Great outfit – you look fantastic. That lipstick is the perfect color for you – very elegant!

Recently I asked Allie at Wardrobe Oxygen about a camel sweater. This one ~

I like camel as a neutral. However, when the person’s skin color is so close to the garment’s color, I think it looks odd. I think it would look better, when worn next to the skin, on a person who is very fair or dark skinned, for contrast.

You have solved that problem by wearing a black turtleneck next to your skin, and then the camel blazer over that. You look wonderful. Was the fit that good right off the thrift rack or did you get it tailored?

Chris, you’re the sweetest! I swear 90% of the “camel blazer” outfits I see on Pinterest involve black, and I’ve come to love the two neutrals together. And the blazer is unaltered – I got lucky! 😉

Seems a little plain to me…maybe a long necklace of some sort would add to the look? Very nice fit on the blazer though.
