I was asked to help emcee the annual style showcase of our local chapter of the American Sewing Guild, and wore this to the event. I was bowled over by the creativity and skill shown by the participants, who created everything from flirty sundresses to coats crafted from hand-dyed faribault blankets.
As you can see, it was incredibly foggy that morning, which made for some dramatic photos!
I have two thoughts about emceeing: The first is how strange it is that the term was originally short for “master of ceremonies” but has somehow morphed into a phonetic spelling of its abbreviation. The second is that the first “person” to whom I heard the term applied was Kermit the Frog. I think of him as the ultimate emcee. Or MC. Take your pick.

This look is completely amazing!
OMG you’re lovely!
Killer outfit!
How absolutely magnificent!!!
I haven’t enough exclamation marks to say how splendid you make this outfit look. Wow.
And we did enjoy having you there.
Absolutely stunning. 🙂
The seaming on that dress is incredible. Definitely a spook-tacular look to set against your foggy background.
Beautiful dress, perfectly accessorized. Amazing photos!
Great outfit! I love the necklace. I checked out GemPearls (the maker of your necklace) at Etsy. Do you have any suggestions for how large-busted women can wear statement jewelry like that, or what types of statement jewelry they should wear? Somehow I don’t think that necklace would hang as well on me as it does on you. I get a little tired of wearing shorter things.
