I’m so close to feeling better, but still a little worn-out and ill. Red is both my favorite color overall, and my go-to for days when I need to fake it till I make it. Or till I just about make it. So I piled on the red today!
What outfit or items do you reach for when you’ve gotta fake it?

OMG those shoes!! Thrifted?! There’s gotta be a story there.
Really any color helps me look better than I feel. I love this red and burgundy pairing.
I love that necklace! Red is also one of my best feel-good colors. Just followed the link to Etsy and ordered one for myself. Thanks for the tip!

Close to feeling better and taking photos in the snow.. the life of a dedicated blogger! Love those shoes and the different reds, not something I would have thought of…hope tomorrow you don’t have to fake it and have made it!
Super reds: take THAT, being sick, KAPOW!
For those times, I have a few things which are structured enough to give me the appearance of being upright but also comfortable – a blazer with some stretch plus wide-legged pants for ex.
Red too, at least close to my face! Makeup (a bit more carefully than usual), loose hair, that’s it 🙂
That color blocking is *phenomenal*! I have a red sweater, and trousers in that purple-y color, and I never would have thought to put them together. I must try it. Thank you for the inspiration!
When I have to fake it, I wear sky-high heels. I’m already tall, so the extra height gives me that extra boost.
Orange-red next to my face. I have an orange silk scarf that is better than any make up I have ever owned: it makes me look radiant when I’m well, and normal when I’m unwell. And a little bit of lipstick; my skin is very pale otherwise, but the thing that makes me look most ill is when my lips go pale too.
Then a nice but thick and comfy jumper, so that it feels as if I’m wearing a blanket even though I’m dressed for the office.
Something soft- my skin gets super sensitive when I’m sick, and BLUE. And a tinted lip balm. Though the glassy eyes are always a dead give away.
I also have an aromatherapy necklace I’ll put a bit of peppermint oil in to sniff- helps with almost any illness.
I can´t fake it. I just stay in bed as much as I can until I feel better. Luckily, I work nights, alone, and don´t have to look good for anyone for money.
I like that outfit on you. Would like it on me, too, so will take inspiration for feel-good days.
I adore those two colors together ! They are unexpected and fabulous.
I think for me, more than the clothes, a shower, clean hair and some makeup is how I “fake it”!
