Every month or so, I get together with a group of fabulous lady friends to eat, chat, and swap ideas. We’re all buddies, but we still end up calling it High-powered Lady Networking, among other things, since we help each other solve professional problems and offer ideas on personal growth and career issues. This time, we networked over pizza and guac at my house, and I wore some power colors for the occasion!

Do any of you have groups of girlfriends who gather to brainstorm?

Love those colors together. Your necklace and shoes match your tattoo!

I unfortunately don’t have a group like that in real life. I do online.

Sounds like the best of times. I don’t have this opp’ty, but I do enjoy brainstorming with online friends and with colleagues. I bet lots of great ideas have been birthed at your meetings!

THIS is why there is no reason to wear neutrals. Color for the win!

Yes, indeed: my group of women writers, which has been going strong for more than 20 years. All of us have been published, we all still aim for publication, and we support one another both personally and as writers. I must admit, though, that we are not likely to ever make these pages with our OOTDs. We tend to be a rather scruffy bunch when we meet. But give us occasions to dress for, and we will rise to them.
    And oh, yes, Sally—great colors!

So whenever I see mauve, I think of my aunt, who wears boxy jackets and skirt suits in the shade that I’m not so keen on. Then I see this and I remember that mauve is a GREAT colour! 🙂

As for the group – I would definitely like one. I might even start one!
