Dressed for: Ladylike Ease

Already Pretty outfit featuring brown patterned dress, black patterned tights, Coclico boots, Furla handbag, chunky black necklace

Dress – Banana Republic (no longer available) – similar
Tights –  Target (no longer available) – similar
Boots, Coclico via eBay – more Coclico boots
Necklace, a flea market in Iceland – similar
Bracelet, Amrita Singh via  Ideeli – earrings in same pattern
Bag, Furla via Opitz – similar

On days when I want to feel and look ladylike, I reach for tailored dresses and structured bags. Both pieces constitute shortcuts to easy, chic ensembles, in my experience.

I bought this dress years ago for birthday wear, which seems ludicrous considering my birthday is in January and the dress features half sleeves. Come to think of it, this bag was a bargain birthday purchase this year! Perhaps my subconscious mind was trying to recapture a bit of birthday glory, months later.

Wow, you’ve really been knocking it out of the ballpark lately, Sally! Love your chic hair. Did you get it professionally straightened, or do you use product and a blow dryer to get it so straight?

It’s just me, my blow dryer, and my flat iron! Product helps, too. I’ve been using a pomade. Makes me feel like an old-timey gentleman. 😉

I love the pattern on the dress and it fits you just perfect! Oh, that Opitz. Always tempting! The simple details on the bag are really cool!

Hi Sally! you look so good on that dress! It’s there any color you cannot wear? I saw you wearing beige ,mustard, red, blue, b&w and green colors, warm and cold colors, you alway succeed! 😉
