I took a risk wearing these heels on a day packed to the brim with meetings, and it wasn’t until about 6 p.m. that my dogs started barking. I met with Bets, Sar, and Christina for breakfast, had a meeting at the Galleria about an upcoming event, met with Imogen to be a color model for her students, had a fabulous chat with Katie, and finally hit up a J.Crew event. And then I collapsed in a heap at home.

Hello! I have been following your blog and enjoy it very much! I downloaded your book on my iPad! I just want to say, I appreciate your perspective and ideas; they truly inspire me. I have just started blogging myself, and I’m just finding my way. It’s bringing me such delight and joy! I love the research, planning, and connection. I am in such the early stages that I don’t have much to show yet! I just wanted to say I’ve found a very nice connection with your blog and enjoy it! It’s fresh and “welcoming.” Thank you and best always to you!

such a classy chic look!
I LOVE that color combo and that blouse is really sweet!
I love that blouse! I’d snap that up if I saw it at a reasonable price in a shop. Just up my alley and would go with lots of different colours.
Oh I love these colors. Both the top and skirt are cute and so flattering. The neutral bag and bright shoe look so right. I have these type of items in my closet, you are inspiring me to get them out and experiment!

A vision of loveliness!
I just discovered your wonderful blog a few days ago (through Imogen’s), and I’ve been enjoying your outfits and advice a great deal!
Since the color palette you wear seems pretty similar, for the most part, to what I look best in, I’m wondering… Which of Imogen’s Absolute Color System Palettes did her students find suited you best (if you’d be willing to share that)? Your outfit here seems to fit into her “Radiant” category (clear/low chroma, saturated, medium value, neutral-warm) but many of your other outfits seem to me to tend more towards the “Dynamic” (clear/low chroma, saturated, medium value, neutral-cool) palette.
Thanks for all of the hard work you do, and for sharing your tips, as well as opening our eyes to more balanced concepts of beauty and what’s important in life!
Hi Sabrina, and welcome! Oh gosh, I will have to check with Imogen, but I believe it was between opulent and another one … the women who did the analysis seemed to think this outfit was just right for my colors.
Thanks for your kind words, and I’ll get back to you!
Imogen replied below, looks like it’s Opulent for me! https://twitter.com/ImogenLamport/status/375347527089799169
Yes Sally, Opulent you are! Thanks so much for coming and having a colour analysis!
Oh and Opulent is Medium Warm, Jewel tones, with Depth
Thanks, ladies! Opulent. That’s good to know.
Hmm… Someday when I have a bigger budget for fashion, I’d love to get in touch with Imogen to see if she has any former students doing color analysis in my geographical area.
Meanwhile, I’ll keep an eye on both of your blogs for inspiration and advice, and seek colors that make my face more noticeable than the garment!
