Huh. This outfit did NOT feel quite as fancy as it photographed! I love the rich plummy-mulberry color of this dress, and took the opportunity to do a purply mix with my magenta cardigan and orchid pumps. You all know how I love my jewel tones.

Are you playing around with monochrome mixes these days? What’s your chosen shade?

That dress is simply lovely, and the magenta shades complement your complexion beautifully.

Monochrome is unusual for me, but this weekend I wore all brown – corduroy skirt, long sleeve t, leggings, boots, with an orange melange scarf. I felt only slightly self conscious, really pretty good. My 16yo son told me I looked like a bag of leaves, but in a good way. Charming, kid.

I love that color mix, and I love it on you! I have a mauve-y magenta-y monotone I sometimes do, with a beaded tee from Kohl’s, a patterned pencil skirt and tights from Target. Sadly, I don’t have any outer layer tops (cardigan, blazer, etc) or shoes to continue to the effect. Which might be a good thing, considering just those three items together can be rather eye-searing…

Your beautiful skin, your hair and those lovely colors! You look amazing:) Wear lots of magenta and plum dear.
