I tried this combination with my black and white dot dress a few weeks ago, but decided that the structure and weight of this striped dress worked better. The shape also allowed me to add the belt and bib necklace, which tie it all together.
This necklace/earring combo is getting a LOT of wear these days. I actually broke the necklace while traveling last week – crushed by heavy items in my suitcase – but about half a gallon of superglue later, it’s back in the game. I’m bummed that Target sold out of it as I’ve recommended this very piece to just about every client I’ve worked with for the past five months! (The “similar” item linked to above is a very close match.)

Ruche has a similar plus-size version of that dress: http://shopruche.com/our-song-curvy-plus-belted-dress-in-navy.html (because I own it and love it!)
For some reason, I’d have never thought of pairing mine with a bright cardigan (I’ve always done long sleeved shirts over/under it) or styling it with boots. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love the bright blue with the graphic black and white, Sal. And the heels on those boots too – very cool.
Love it!! Stripes and cobalt…so cute!
Black and white with the cobalt is such a great color combo – and that shade of blue works beautifully against your complexion!
Love the outfit, Sal! I wore the same striped Old Navy dress yesterday, paired with a black and white polka dotted cardigan. We had our first taste of spring yesterday, so I wore mine with black capri leggings and black flats. I hadn’t thought to pair the dress with a statement necklace – that looks great on you!
Argh! I LOVE this look! Stripes a perennial favorite mixed with my currant crush, cobalt blue! Heart heart hearty heart heart.
That is all.
the styling possibilities are endless with this dress! cobalt is a very becoming color on you. hate to sound cliche, but i truly do love this outfit.
