I originally tried pairing black opaques with these white faux snakeskin pumps in this outfit, thinking the black and white of the scarf would tie everything together. But, in the end, a darker shoe worked better.

The idea stuck, though, and I love how the abstract houndstooth print in this skirt and speckled texture of the shoes play off one another here.

I’ll admit I have a hard time getting used to lighter shoes with darker tights, but that’s probably just decades of conditioning. 😉 I really love that scarf!!!

What another wonderful outfit. This and the green skirt one have really stood out to me. I like the use of the colored scarf in an otherwise basic balck and white ensemble.

This is an OT question, but I’ve always wondered–when there’s a gap between the back of the shoe (especially pumps) and your heel, how do you walk without your heel slipping out?

That skirt is just wonderful, and the pumps might have been made for it.
