I wore this while working with an ARC’s Value Village personal shopping client, and man oh man did I get lots of comments and questions about that necklace! I nabbed it at Skändal, a boutique in the Chicago ‘burbs that is becoming a regular haunt for me when I’m visiting my parents. I’ve been a Marimekko fan for ages, but had no idea they even made jewelry. This piece was right up my alley: Bold, quirky, and geometric.

Are you drawn to large, bold pieces of jewelry? Do you do necklaces, earrings, bracelets, brooches?

I like how bold jewelry looks on other people, but I don’t generally wear it myself. That necklace is really cool, though! And that orange skirt is awesome.

Love, love the necklace! Really think this outfit looks great on you! Black and gold happen to be my high school colors, too…many years ago! LOL!

That necklace coordinates PERFECTLY with that outfit, and the overall effect is quite stunning, I must say! While it’s not one I’d wear (I am not a ‘geometric” person) I do have many of my own statement necklaces (along the lines of Middle Eastern-ethnic-style) and they do tend to be very good conversation-starters!

Very cool necklace! And reasonably priced too! I hope Marimekko expands their jewellery line!

I was immediately drawn to that necklace. I had no idea Marimekko made jewelry. I’ll have to get my Finnish in-laws to scout some out.

I have a large collection of big, colourful dress rings. All inexpensive but beautiful and often my outfit can be determined by which ring I want to wear!

I shy away from necklaces because I never know what to do for earrings. Too big and I look top heavy; too little and they get lost. And do you match them or go for contrast? I can’t see yours in this photo. I’m curious what you wore with this necklace.

I love the entire ensemble, btw!

Beautiful outfit! Which leads me to a question- I don’t wear necklaces much because I don’t know what to do for earrings. If they are too big I look top heavy; if they are small they get lost. I can’t see what you are wearing for earrings in this photo but would love some advice.

And I hope I don’t double post. The Internet is weird tonight.
