The Gap is my kryptonite, I swear. My mom and I wandered in while I was visiting Chicago, and this sweater absolutely leapt into my arms. It’s not the most versatile piece in the world, as it looks a bit odd worn unzipped and is too long in the body to wear with skirts, but it’s heavy, cozy, comfy, and form-fitting so a great bet for MN winters and springs. Its first outfit is extremely simple, but I felt fabulous in it nonetheless.
How are you styling stripes these days? Simple and classic? In funky print mixes? A bit of both?

Love this asymmetrical closing, Sal. I wore stripes today, via a knit maxi skirt. Not tired of them yet : >
OMG I love that sweater. I can’t imagine wearing it open because it looks so sharp just like that!
Hullo, Sally! Funny you mention styling striped because I think I’m going to do Stripes Week soon as my weekly theme. Here’s hoping I do the pattern justice. Btw, can I just say that you are numero uno on my list of blogging fashionistas who have inspired me to create a blog of my own? Thank you for helping me overcome my fear of taking pictures!
Maricel, you are so sweet! And I look forward to seeing your stripes week outfits.
Love that sweater! The stripes are adorable and that color green is perfection!
The stripes make a strong statement, but it’s your figure that really does the talking in this outfit. Danger…sleek curves ahead!
Ah, super cute! I love the stripes, and the color looks marvelous on you. Well done, Sal. Well done!
