I’ve got a super lightweight cotton shirt in a white, olive, and red plaid that would be just perfect for summer wear … except that every time I throw it on, I feel like a walking Christmas card. This mix of blues, however, works much better. The dress is a wonderfully breathable cotton, too, so it feels seasonal despite the tartan print which can seem autumnal or wintry.
Do you do plaid in spring and summer? All plaid, or just certain color families?

I wear plaid in all seasons. I’m not inclined to wear dark colors in any season, but my warm-weather plaids are probably lighter, on the whole. It never occurred to me that plaids
. . . that plaids are often cold-weather wear, actually.
You know I wear my plaids all year round! I have a gorgeous summer plaid dress similar to yours – it’s better in the summer!
Plaid is seasonal? Hah, didn’t realize that! I wear it all the time. But yeah I’m probably more apt to pick a more summery color. Then again I’ve worn a lot of black this summer, so who knows.
I’m more surprised at the sleeves than the plaid.
I love a summer plaid – very crisp and pretty!
