So chartreuse. It’s the color that got made fun of THE MOST when I was growing up. I mean, for one, it’s a pretty amusing word to say. For another, the 70s had just ended and I think a lot of people – my parents included – were suffering from chartreuse overload. But right now, I’m loving this acid tone and fascinated by how well it works with a variety of other colors. I feel like it’s been a color underdog for so long, and is finally getting some love from the style world.

There’s also a song called “Chartreuse Skirt” by a local band named Faux Jean that blows my mind every time I hear it. And now it goes through my head whenever I wear this dress. Not a bad association, in my opinion.

Gorgeous. I know some people don’t like that color, but here in Oregon (and I’m sure elsewhere) we have trees that are that exact color in early spring and I love them. Love it with the navy blue too!

Gorgeous, Sally! I think the jacket ‘tames’ the underdog so that you are wearing the dress not the other way around. love it.

I love that song! Now I need to find that CD and add it to my ipod. Just in time for a road trip. Thanks Sally!
