Dressed for: Winter Florals

Already Pretty outfit featuring floral corduroy blazer, burgundy ponte dress, gray Falke tights, Sam Edelman Seraphina boots

Heh. Technically, this outfit is also comprised of reds and greens. Burgundy is a red, after all!

With pastels trending for winter, I feel like all bets are off concerning which florals feel seasonally appropriate. But this corduroy blazer’s dark background makes it feel ideal for colder, darker days. Although I’ve been known to wear it year-round.

Are you busting out any season-specific garb these days? Putting any other items into storage?

My aunt passed a red suede jacket on to me recently, and I’ll definitely have to confine it to the winter months because it’s pretty toasty! I’ve never owned anything suede before and was concerned that I might have to limit it to perfectly sunny days to avoid weather damage–but the care tag says it can go through the washing machine, so maybe it’s special suede? Go figure.

I still love that dress on you! I ordered the pink version of it in M and L, but neither size fit me well (one too tight, the other too loose) so I had to send them both back. I’m still feeling the disappointment a little bit.

Burgundy and green is a favourite colour combination, but I’m trying hard to think of when I’ve actually worn it. I love the unusual colour palette of your jacket, awesome outfit!

You look amazing, head to toe. I want to hold you down and steal your blazer, LOL! I’m having serious thrift envy over here! Great find!

You might see if a good tailor can take the old shoulder pads out and modify the jacket accordingly.

Oh, I just bought this dress in two colors and then popped into your blog to say hello and voila, there it is! It looks great on you; now I’m excited to get my shipment.

I’m late to the discussion, but I love the boots so much I’m thinking about buying them. I’m concerned about the leather-wrapped heel, though – how are they wearing? I hate shoes with heels that don’t wear well and can’t be easily replaced because they limit the longevity greatly. I live in a rainy climate, so my shoes need to be reasonably durable. Thanks!

Eeek, I just got them last week and have only worn them once outside the house! So I can’t really speak to how they’ll fare after lots of wear yet … the leather on the wrapped heel is glued not stitched, if that helps. Sorry, my dear!
