It’s true. I do. Sometimes. Not as often as I wear color, because I’m more comfortable in color, but every once in a while, I wear neutrals.
Like this outfit:
It’s just black and tan. Specifically, a black, knit dress (Walmart, v. old) layered over a black turtleneck (Gap, black tights (Spanx via Nordstrom) and tan boots (Enzo Angolini “Saylem” via Nordstrom).
Well, black and tan and the most awesome ram belt ever:
For me, the belt makes the outfit. And is actually why I wore such a neutral combination; I wanted the belt to be the star. As much as I love print and color, neutrals are often the best backdrop for more interesting pieces. Just as a statement necklace pops against basic black, so does a statement belt.
What about you, Reader Friends? How do you show off your statement pieces?
Xoxo,
Gracey
