I thought about wearing this borrowed, vintage Ferragamo scarf with black to really let it shine, but I don’t love wearing black in the spring. What I do love, though, is wearing stripes, pretty much any time of the year. So, today, I’m wearing stripes and a scarf:
In addition to the scarf (silk, borrowed from HouseofHeirlooms) and the blouse (thrifted via Goodwill) I also wore a pair of flared trouser jeans (Banana Republic) and rust-colored sandals (Nine West via TJ Maxx).
And I don’t think the stripes detract from the loveliness of the scarf at all. In fact, I think they look pretty cool together:
But, what do you think, Reader Friends? How would you have styled this scarf?

Gracey

Oh, that is a gorgeous scarf, and it looks fabulous with the stripes. Its like they were made for each other!
Gracie looks fantastic! I think I’d have also gone for the scarf around the neck. The colors in the scarf really highlight the blue stripes nicely. It might have also made a nice belt. With those snazzy wide-legged trousers, it would have made a nice accent to her silhouette.
And of course, that radiant smile makes a great accessory to any outfit. Way to rock it, Gracie!
That is some perfect pattern mixing. I love it!
I love the stripes with the floral print – one of my favorite ways to mix prints!!

Ooo, I love the styling! And the stripes definitely feel spring-ish! Now if only it would stop raining and get wonderfully warm again! 🙂

I really love the subtle contrast between the two of these– they complement each other very prettily, and it’s nice to see pattern mixing that isn’t over powering or overwhelming.
Firstly on the outfit, love it! I think I would have been tempted to go with a coral shirt, to pull out that color from the scarf and because I think it looks nice on you. Secondly, gotta say I LOVE your smile. All the pictures I’ve seen of you look like you are just bursting at the seams with FUN! You really know how to show your personality.
