Insomniac Sale Picks: Wide Plus-sized Belts

*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Heina requested a few picks for wide plus-sized belts, so here we go:

plus size wide belt

Torrid Crisscross Tonal Stud Belt – was $18.50, now $16.65
with code 10WISHES

This badass belt is 3″ wide with an elastic back, and would look so amazing with a white blouse and black pencil skirt. It’s also made from faux leather, so vegan-friendly! Available in sizes 12 -28.  This belt has similar design features and is available in sizes S – L.

plus size obi belt

IGIGI Plus Size Obi Belt – was $36, now $19.49

Heina was looking for super wide belts, and this one qualifies at 4″ at the widest point! It doesn’t have a slit in the design to feed an end through, so there will be some wrinkling when it’s tied, but it’s still a great value – also vegan-friendly. Available in sizes 0X – 5X, and also comes in black, bronze, or brown. This similar belt is one size/64″ long.

elastic plus size belt

LUNA Fashion Elastic Cinch Belt – was $15.99, now $8.99 – $12.99

I know people have VERY mixed feelings about elastic-only belts like this one, but I’m throwing it in for several reasons: It’s super affordable, comes in 2″, 3″, and 4″ widths, and is available in more than 10 colors. If you’re not fond of the closure, this belt could be worn with the closure in back underneath a jacket. Available in four sizes, fitting waists from 28″ to 55″.

Sustainable resources for wide plus-sized belts:

  1. Etsy – Lots of handmade and custom options in leather and fabric.
  2. eBay – Used and vintage options, including super cool styles like this corset belt.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for wide plus-sized belts:

  1. Torrid – Most are in the badass/rocker vein, like this multi-strap belt, but others are more versatile.
  2. ASOS – Cool and trendy options, including this red snake print belt.
  3. eVogues Apparel – Found this brand while compiling the post, and loved the options!

My source for cheap trendy belts is Cato! The regular price on them is typically around $12 or less, and there are always a bunch on clearance for $5 or so, so that’s where the majority of my belt collection has come from. I love Cato because they have equal amounts of misses and plus sized things.
