*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Melissa requested a few picks for petite wide-leg trousers, so here we go:
Banana Republic Petite Linen-blend Belted Wide-leg – was $88, now $52.80
with code BRSPRING
Melissa was specifically hoping to find some high-waisted, retro-influenced styles and this BR pair just about fits that bill. I’m always wary of linen’s tendency to wrinkle, but this pant is actually 52% rayon so hopefully it won’t be as wrinkly as pure linen! Available in this blue as well as white in petite sizes 00 – 14. Size availability varies by color. Also available in regular sizes. This pant lacks the belt but is otherwise similar and available in sizes 14 – 28.
White House Black Market Petite Stripe Wide-leg Pant – was $98, now $88.20
with code 50535
A little less retro but still a fun style for spring, this pair also comes with a self-belt and sits high on the waist. Made from a washable polyester, it’s unlikely to wrinkle and is machine washable. Available in petite sizes 00 -14, as well as short, regular, and long inseams. This style has a drawstring, but comes in stripes in sizes 12 – 28.
J.Jill Petite Live-in Chino – was $79, now $55.30
with code DGAPR16
For a more casual look, try these summery wide-leg chinos. They’re a lower rise than the other high-waisted pairs in this post, but still in the mid-rise range, and 97% cotton with a hit of stretch. Available in this ivory as well as pale blue or navy in petite sizes 00 -18. Also available in regular, plus, and tall sizes.
Halogen Flat Front Wide Leg Pant – was $88, now $52.80
Here’s the deal on this pair: When I did my initial research last week there were petite sizes available online for both this black and this blue for $36.90 in the same style. Now Nordstrom lists them as available in petite sizes, but you can’t order from the website. I’m including them in tonight’s post since you might be able to find a petite pair at your local Nordstrom and since they’re a darned good deal.
Sustainable resources for petite wide-leg trousers:
- eBay – There are even fewer sustainable companies making petites than plus sizes, so it’ll be used and handmade for eco-friendly options. eBay has 2,000+ wide leg petite pants available!
- Etsy – Vintage and custom wide-legs.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for petite wide-leg trousers:
- ASOS – Just a few styles, but wide-legged and high-waisted.
- Loft – Mostly culottes now, but keep an eye on the site. Loft is always a good resource for petites.
- J.Jill – Casual, relaxed styles in cropped and full-length.
