Insomniac Sale Picks: Asymmetrical Knit Tops

*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Roxane requested a few picks for asymmetrical knit tops, so here we go:

asymmetric-tunic

J.Jill Asymmetrical Tunic – was $59, now $34.99

I’m a tunic fan, as you may know, but I was surprised to find that nearly every asymmetrical knit top on the market was tunic length. Including this one, obviously, which is a cotton-modal blend with 3/4 sleeves, an A-line shape, and a straight-across back hem. Available in this gray as well as heathered black/charcoal and white in sizes XS – XL. Size availability varies by color. Also comes in petite, plus, and tall sizes.

Vince Camuto Side-Ruched Asymmetrical Top – was $59, now $47.20
with code TWODAY

This pretty ruched top is slightly shorter than a typical tunic, but still on the long side! Love those side pleats and the waterfall hem detail. This top is a viscose/elastane blend which will drape nicely, and comes in this burgundy as well as heather gray or black in sizes XXS – XL. Size availability varies by color. Also in burgundy in plus sizes, and a few other colors with short sleeves. Nordstrom carries this top in cobalt, forest, and red as well as burgundy, but it’s not currently on sale.

FIG Clothing Won Top (SUSTAINABLE!) – was $70, now $34.99

If you live in a warm climate or want some asymmetric tops to layer, this made-in-Canada, organic cotton-blend top will serve you well. Love that scooped neckline and those wide straps. Available in sizes S – XL. (This brand runs small.) This similar top is available in sizes 14 – 24.

asymmetrical-knit-tunic

NYDJ City/Sport Leah Basic 3/4 Sleeve Tee (SUSTAINABLE!) – was $68, now $28.19 – $40.99

This top is similar to the J.Jill option, but made in the U.S. and crafted from a slinky modal/spandex blend. It also comes in an array of colors including this navy, ivory, pink, pale blue, and black in sizes XS – XL. Size availability varies by color. Also available on Amazon. Karen Kane offers similar styles in plus sizes.

One Response to “Insomniac Sale Picks: Asymmetrical Knit Tops”

  1. Roxane

Thanks, Sally. I really love that red one. I wonder if they’re all tunic length because tunics have been a trend, or if it’s easier to make an asymmetrical hem when the shirt is long to begin with.
