*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Eyelash Button-front Tunic – was $30, now $19.99
It’s a knit, not a woven, but has all of the features of an elongated button-front shirt. And stripes, people! This black/ivory iteration, as well as olive/white and solids black, olive, pink, and mint green. Available in sizes XS- XL. (Here’s a similar striped style in 0X- 1X.)
Calvin Klein Henley Tunic – was $69.50, now $39.99
As its name implies, this is a henley style so buttons stop at about the midpoint of the garment, but it still has that button-front feel. If you don’t dig the self belt, clip off the loops and remove the belt. This tunic will look loose and chic without it. Available in hot pink, cobalt, orange, emerald, white, and turquoise in sizes XS – XL. Size availability varies by color. Also in black and white in sizes 0X – 3X.
I can’t seem to hit all the marks – woven, button-front, size variety, and on sale – so I’m sliding this one in because it qualifies for everything except the last. And it’s still affordable at full price. And Land’s End has sales every whipstitch, so check back tomorrow and you’ll likely get some money knocked off! Available in white, blue, and black in sizes 4 -18. Size availability varies by color. Also in petite and plus sizes.
DKNY Drop Shoulder Button Front Tunic – was $255, now $153
And for the splurge option, here’s a gorgeous silk tunic with a versatile, neutral abstract print. Love the sleek hidden placket and classic shirt styling. And remember, silk layers beautifully for winter! Keeps a gal cozy! Available in sizes S- L. (Here’s a silk tunic in a gorgeous ochre in sizes 16W – 26W. And dang, is it cheaper.)
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for button-front tunics:
- Foxcroft – A variety of tunic lengths, as well as petite and plus size options.
- Anthropologie – There aren’t a ton of options online now, but I see button-front tunics at Anthro on the regular. Check racks, and check back in warmer seasons, too.
- J.Jill – This is really the jackpot. Check size charts as sizing runs absolutely huge.
- And, of course, THRIFT STORES! I’ve found most of my tunic-length button-fronts at the local charity shops. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)
