*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Shevvi requested a few picks for camel blazers, so here we go:
Talbots Italian Flannel Blazer – was $199, now $139.90
Having recently sought my own camel blazer, here’s what I can tell ya: Actual camel hair is wildly expensive, but anything less fuzzy than wool looks odd. You want some loft to the fiber, so if at all possible (budget, allergies, and fiber preferences allowing), go for wool. This Talbots blazer is still an investment on sale, but it’s a total classic that will look marvelous for years to come. Available in this camel as well as red, cobalt, teal, raspberry, navy, gray, black, or ivory in size 2 – 20. Size availability varies by color. Also available in petite, plus, and petite plus sizes.
Denim & Co Button Front Blazer – was $75, now $62.52
That said, wool isn’t possible for everyone. This deep camel blazer is a knit, so it has some of the nubby texture that a natural fiber blazer might have, but none of the itch factor. Lined in polyester, has faux leather detailing at the collar. Available in this camel as well as black in sizes XXS – 2X.
Boden Elizabeth British Tweed Blazer – was $198, now $138.60
with code 3D6E
If you prefer a more cropped fit, this Boden wool blazer has a trim cut and somewhat high stance. Being tweed, this blazer might be a bit paler than solid camel, but still has that robust richness of color that sets it apart from plain tan. Available in this camel as well as gray, pink, navy, or green herringbone, multicolor tweed, solid navy, or solid burgundy in sizes 2 – 18 including some petite sizes. Size availability varies by color. This similar style is available in plus sizes. (For a non-wool version at a whopping 80% off, try this Limited blazer in knit.)
Sustainable resources for camel blazers:
- The Realreal – I scouted for my own camel blazer on this online consignment site. LOADS of gorgeous options.
- Fair Indigo – Just one option and it’s a knit, but made from organic cotton!
- eBay – I was hoping for some more sustainable BRAND options, but most had camel clothes but not blazers, or jackets but not in camel. eBay offers you hundreds of camel blazers in all sizes and styles.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for camel blazers:
- Talbots – The brand is classic, and always stocks classic pieces like camel blazers.
- J.Crew – You can trust this preppy brand to deliver. The regent blazer comes in a gorgeous rich camel.
