*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Edith requested a few picks for supportive closed-toe sandals, so here we go:
Clarks Wendy Land – was $85, now $57.99
Clarks is always a good bet for comfort and support, and this style gets high marks for both. The heel is 2″, but there’s a 0.5″ platform which offsets the height. These would look adorable with a swingy printed skirt! Available in red, tan, black, and navy in US sizes 5 – 12 including some wide and narrow widths. Size availability varies by color.
Fidji G779 – was $192, now $179.99
Fidji is another favorite for those who need comfort and support, especially among women who enjoy a slightly arty or avant-garde aesthetic. These slingbacks have some great angles and details, but still deliver on walkability. Available in tan, black, and pink in Euro sizes 35 – 41. Size availability varies by color.
Rieker 43768 Mirjam 68 – was $110, now $98.99
Another beloved comfort brand, this one with a velcro closure and some elastic in the straps for extra ease. Pushing the definition of “sandals,” I know, but most of the closed-toe options mimic that first pair of Clarks and I wanted to give you all a variety of options! This open design is ideal for warm weather wear. Available in Euro sizes 36 – 41.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for supportive closed-toe sandals:
- Zappos – I had a tough time pinpointing shoe brands that specialize in closed-toe, but this link will take you to all of Zappos’ options across brands.
- Shoes.com – Great offerings from brands like Clarks, Aerosoles, and Aravon.
- Clarks – A handful of cute styles, including this darling flat Mary Jane. 6pm has some cute Clarks styles, too.

Love Fidji but for extended walking nothing beats Zierra for me.
I am loving Josef Seibel and find them to be very solid shoes. http://www.amazon.com/Josef-Seibel-Womens-Sunflower/dp/B0070ASHEO/ref=pd_sbs_shoe_1
Love the red Clark’s. Just what I’ve been looking for. Thanks. Barbara
Love the Fidgi shoes. In fact, I love the closed in toe. Sadly, there are not a lot of these readily available in Australia as far as I can tell.
