*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Linda requested a few picks for cold-weather/lined raincoats with hoods (still nippy in some parts of the world!), so here we go:
Eddie Bauer Rainfoil Fleece-Lined Parka – was $149, now $104.30
with code SUNSHINE
This is the home run of the night, in my opinion. It’s waterproof, windproof, breathable, long enough to cover your butt, designed with princess seams (win!), and lined with cozy berber fleece. Perfect for Linda’s cold, rainy New England weather. Available in this blue as well as eggplant or black in sizes XS – XXL. Size availability varies by color. Also available in petite, tall, and plus sizes.
L.L. Bean Winter Warmer Coat – was $119, now $99.99
This guy might not be ideal in a torrential downpour, as it’s described as having a “highly water-resistant nylon shell.” Water-resistant ≠ waterproof. But it’s lined with high-pile fleece and ThermaTEK in the sleeves, so you’ll definitely stay cozy. The drawcord waist is a nice touch, and this one will also cover most people to high thigh. Available in this red as well as grass green in sizes XS – L. Black, cornflower, magenta, and teal versions are available at full price in sizes XS – XL. Also available in petite and plus sizes.
Helly Hansen Insulated Long Aden Jacket – was $189.95, now $79.20 – $160
The reviews for this jacket are super helpful: It’s described as lightweight but well insulated, perfect for New England or Icelandic weather, and great for layering. Available in this gray as well as black, brown, coral, purple, or white in sizes XS – XXL. Size availability varies by color. This similar jacket only comes in white, but is available in sizes 1X -3X.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for cold-weather/lined raincoats with hoods:
- Eddie Bauer – Some of the lined options are far from cheap, but they’ll last you for years. Their Girl on the Go Insulated Trench gets high marks for durability and warmth. Regular, petite, tall, and plus sizes available in many styles.
- L.L. Bean – New Englanders know how to deal with cold, wet weather. Many styles are shorter, like this fleece-lined rain jacket, but a few are longer like this Prima-loft lined one in regular, petite, and plus sizes.
- Nordstrom – Always a winner for outerwear selection. This tightly quilted down parka is super sleek.
