Insomniac Sale Picks: Colorful Belts

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Robin requested a few picks for colorful belts available in small sizes, so here we go:

1. LAUREN Ralph Lauren - Skinny Faux Lizard Belt w_ Elongated LCB (Hibiscus)

LAUREN Ralph Lauren Skinny Faux Lizard Belt – was $42, now $33.99

This bright belt borders on neon, but is still subdued enough to just be a marvelously bold pink. It would look fabulous with a flirty summer sundress and also comes in a lovely turquoise. Available in sizes S – XL. Size S is 28″ at smallest hole.

4. MICHAEL Michael Kors - Michael Kors 25MM Classic Roller w_ Metallic Tip

MICHAEL Michael Kors Classic Roller with Metallic Tip – was $45, now $35.99

That dangly logo is removable, of course, and this belt is gorgeous once that’s been cast off. It’s 1″ wide which is a good width for a variety of figures, and comes in this gorgeous red as well as bold cobalt with silver hardware. Available in sizes XS – XL, sold out in S. Size XS is 27″.

2. Cole Haan - Reflective Belt (Orange Pop)

Cole Haan Reflective Belt – was $48, now $38.99

I see nothing in the photos or description to indicate that this belt is literally reflective like a safety vest, so I’m assuming it’s an indicator of its bright coloring. Another skinny option with classic styling, available in this vibrant orange, robin’s egg blue, and metallic silver in sizes S – L. Size S is 26.5″ at smallest hole.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for colorful belts:

  1. Amazon – A variety of price points, but mostly cheap. I’ve ordered this belt from Amazon in several colors and it has held up very well!
  2. Zappos – Naturally, since all of tonight’s picks hail from this site. Especially helpful if, like Robin, you’re looking for smaller sizes. Larger, too, as sizing goes from 24″ – 46″.
  3. Lodis – My wallet is Lodis, and I recently wandered over to the company website and found a wealth of gorgeous belts!
  4. And, of course, THRIFT STORES! The vast majority of my belts are thrifted, and colorful ones are usually mixed in with the neutrals. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)

I really like the red Michal Kors belt in the middle. Always been a fan of the perfume but their belts are very nice too.

Thanks Sal! Somehow I missed this until tonight, even though I was awaiting it so eagerly, haha. I appreciate the post, especially the suggestions for where to look (never thought of zappos for some reason). Just curious, have you purchased anything from Beltiscool or Allegra K on Amazon? They seem to have a lot but I am leery of the quality (price point seems super low).

Happy to help, Robin! I haven’t purchased from either of those Amazon vendors, but many of the vendors are selling variations of the same product. I’ll say this for the cheap belts I have bought on Amazon: The color may start to scrape off the edges after a while, but it usually takes a year or more of use for that to happen. They are real leather, sturdy, good hardware. Honestly, I always urge folks to thift belts since you can get them for SO cheap and can often nab really good quality leather. But if that’s not an option, the Amazon cheapies work in the short run.
