Insomniac Sale Picks: Colorful Unlined Blazers

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Aging Fashionista requested a few picks for colorful unlined blazers, so here we go:

1. Caslon Roll Sleeve Knit Blazer

Caslon Roll Sleeve Knit Blazer – was $59, now $38.90

Knit blazers are fabulous for summer since they are comfortable and stretchy, but also transition into cooler weather with the addition of cozier layers. Love the slub-knit texture on this one. Available in orange, mint green, tan, white, and navy stripe sizes XS- XL. Size availability varies by color.

Olivia Moon Linen Jacket – was $79, now $52.93

Linen drives me nuts, but I know many women absolutely adore it for summer wear. It is light, airy, breathes beautifully, and feels marvelous against the skin. This unlined blazer comes in purple, bright green, yellow, navy, white, black, and ivory in sizes XS – XL. Size availability varies by color.

Vince Camuto Rumpled Blazer – was $169, now $84.49

If you prefer a longer line and more casual look for your jackets, this slightly boyfriend-y blazer is a great choice. And it’s machine washable! Available in sizes 0 – 12.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for colorful unlined blazers:

  1. Piperlime – Cobalt, red, magenta, coral and more. Check individual descriptions for lining info.
  2. Nordstrom – One of the only non-thrift stores I’ve hit for blazers myself, and always stocked with colorful options.
  3. Kohl’s – A mix of lined and unlined, but loads of cute colorful summery options like this magenta knit one in the mix.
  4. And, of course, THRIFT STORES! Blazers are fabulously thrift-able, and both lined and unlined options are virtually always on-hand. ( can help you locate stores near you.)

I’d love some styling tips for styling colorful blazers. I got a lovely bright purple one last fall and have barely worn it bc I can’t quite figure it out.

Stephanie, probably the easiest way is to bring in patterned pieces that include the blazer color. Do you have any tops, dresses, or skirts that have that same shade of purple in the pattern or print? Then you can bring in other colors from that some pattern for a cohesive-looking outfit!

My twenty something fashion forward daughter has been encouraging me to try differemt color combos, like brights together. Purple and lime green, purple and hot orange,,throw on a couple bold accessories in neutral or touches of the colors. I like unlined blaErs over shorts, slacks or a casual dress in summer, for coverage without too much structure.

This saves you a lot of time if you’re a frequent traveler, as it prevents you from having to remove your backpack every time you go through security. With school books, notebooks, computers, video games, cell phones (not to mention snacks and water bottles), all having become “must have” items. Adult comfort – It is all well and good to have your baby comfortable, but if your back carrier is not comfortable then you will not be going far (or you will only be doing it once.
