*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
T requested a few picks for great denim shirts, so here we go:
Cabela’s Denim Shirt – was $39.99, now $24.99
I just couldn’t resist those Western details at the shoulder line! I’m also a huge fan of snap plackets on denim and chambray shirts. T was specifically looking for flattering styles, and the shaped waist on this particular shirt will work on many body types. Available in sizes S – XL.
Port & Company Denim Shirt – was $53.98, now $29.98 – $15.97
This is a darker wash, a slightly boxier fit, and a more conservative overall look, but this classic denim shirt would look fabulous with colorful cords, a sassy lace skirt, or some funky cargos and chunky sandals. Available in sizes XS – 2X, and in a much lighter denim wash.
Lafayette 148 New York Denim Shirt – was $168, now $83.90
And THIS! This is T’s holy grail: She requested a number-sized denim shirt, and this is the only on-sale one I found. Plus it’s got some great shaping, a clean dark wash, and is available in sizes 4 -16. Woohoooo!
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for denim shirts:
- Madewell – Only a couple of options right now, but Madewell does denim and chambray shirts every season. Check back.
- Zappos
– Again, this shoe-centric online vendor surprises me with their wealth of offerings! Everything from solid washes to Western accents and highly-embellished iterations.
- Diesel – Only three options on their website now and this one is by far the best, but keep an eye out for this brand overall. A few options will pop up on eBay
, and consignment stores will sometimes bear fruit. Diesel does denim beautifully, and generally offers at least one shirt per season.

Lafayette 148 runs large, all! I’m a 14W/16 hourglass and 36G and I take a misses 14 top, 16 bottom in that line.
Thanks for the tip, LQ!
I’m getting a flashback to a job I had probably 15 years ago almost – where they came up with corporate denim logo shirts for everyone to wear on Casual Friday. But their extremely anal/hilarious dress code prevented “untucked shirts” and I always was in violation because I refused to wear my denim shirt tucked in because it was terribly unflattering to my body shape…
Sal – any interest in a post inquiring about office dress codes? I could add some really funny, overly-zealous insights.
Hmm, maybe! Already have this post that relates: https://alreadypretty.com/2011/02/work-wear-across-the-working-spectrum.html
I love this feature so much Sal! How about one on thicker tees – most of the ones I find today are so thin that I have to layer them to wear them on their own. Or drape a scarf over them to cover the bra lines. These are fine alternatives, but I’d love to not have to do this every time.
