*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Several folks requested a few picks for D’Orsay flats, so here we go:
Dolce Vita Glenda – was $149, now $39.60
So everything I’ve ever seen in the D’Orsay world includes a cutout on one side of the shoe, but the VAST majority of D’Orsay flats feature cutouts on both sides. This classic black pair was one of the few that was both on sale and fit my idea of what a D’Orsay shoe looks like. (This red pair from Express does, too, but even though it’s only $35, it’s not currently on sale. Drat!) These Dolce Vitas come in tan, black leather and black patent in US sizes 6 -10, with some half-sizes sold out. Size availability varies by finish.
Chinese Laundry Kristin Cavallari Cadence – was$89.95, now $62.99
See what I’m saying? Love that color and definitely a cute shape, but not the D’Orsay I know and love. This shape is in the majority, though, so perhaps that’s what you requesters were envisioning! This flat comes in this zippy lime green, a peach/dark snakeskin combo, brown suede, black/white snakeskin combo, and black suede in US sizes 6 – 10. Size availability varies by color.
Seychelles Skip A Beat – was $90, now $62.99
And I’m throwing these in because they merge a little bit of both styles. And they’re just plain lovely. They’ve got the tiniest sliver wedge – 1.25″ – but still fairly flat and wonderfully elegant with the side cutouts and pointed toe. Available in US sizes 6 -10 in this green, cognac brown, and dark purple. Nordstrom has them at full price in silver, too.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for D’Orsay flats:
- Bloomingdale’s – No idea why, but this department store has loads of options. This metallic pair is so fun.
- Nine West – A great variety of styles, including this single-piece pair that is a more traditional D’Orsay.
- Urban Outfitters – 14 adorable pairs, many in multiple colors. This two-tone pair is very tempting.
