*In this late-night feature – which will run on Tuesday and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Amanda requested a few picks for fun plus size leggings, so here we go:
Lane Bryant Ponte Skinny with Studs – was $69.95, now $41.97
I love these a whole bunch. They may be ponte skinnies instead of actual leggings, but in my book that makes them an even better bet. Thicker material means they’ll be warm through the whole winter! I love how they’re styled here with black ankle boots – edgy and modern. Available in sizes 14 – 28. These similar studded leggings come in sizes XS – XL. Like the tough look but want something more subtle? These pleather panel leggings are pretty fabulous, too.
ShoSho Women’s Print Legging – was $14.99, now $4.49 – $9.95
So a few of these are available sized – XL – XXXXL – but most of the fun prints are one size. which makes me leery. But they’ve gotten some rave reviews from plus size women who had the same hesitations I did, and were pleasantly surprised. For the price, I wouldn’t expect these to last more than a couple of years and be advised that they’re polyester, not cotton. But if you’re looking for funky patterns, these are great. Zebra stripes, alphabet print, scrollwork, chevrons, florals, and more – 21 prints and 3 solids in all. ShoSho also makes regular size leggings.
Style&co. Plus Size Animal-Print Legging – was $21.98, now $13.99
Animal-print leggings may call Peg Bundy to mind, but this print is classy and subtle. Naturally, these will pair beautifully with black, but also try them with burgundy, olive, white, or denim. Available in 0X – 3X. Also in petites. A bit higher contrast, but these animal print leggings come in XS – XL.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for fun plus size leggings:
- Amazon – Many options are “one size” so do check customer reviews, but there are dozens of funky patterns. These black and white plaid ones are such fun.
- Torrid – Everything from crushed velvet to moto.
- Modcloth – Just a handful of styles right now, but Modcloth gets new products daily. Includes prints and zipper/hardware detailed pairs.
- Nordstrom – More on the “tough” side of fun, but lots of leather panels and dark prints. Love this subtly embossed pair.
