Insomniac Sale Picks: High-waisted Silk Pants

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Francine requested a few picks for high-waisted silk pants, so here we go:

Citron Silk Straight Leg Pant – was $143, now $71.49

The most basic of black pairs, with an elastic waist and straight leg construction. They look a bit cropped here, but have a 31″ inseam so may appear less so on some figures. Machine washable! Bonus! Available in sizes XS – M.

Catherine Malandrino Silk Georgette Pant – was $265, now $159

I’m drooling over that rich red! This pant features pleats which may be a turnoff for some, but they’re fully lined and feature a comfortably high rise. Available in sizes 2 -14.

Theory Mitrina Silk Pant – was $265, now $185.50

The print? Cranes (or possibly egrets) in flight. This is the pair that threatens to cross over into pajama territory, but I think it’s still trouser-y enough to pass muster. Pair with a lightweight sweater or blazer for best effect. Available in sizes 0 – 10.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for high-waisted silk pants:

  1. eBay – Mostly used, of course, but with over 140 options you’re bound to find a pair or two that appeal.
  2. Yoox -Lots of lower rises, too, but pore over the offerings for higher waists like these.
  3. ASOS – Just a handful of styles, but mostly higher rises.

Haha, I have a few pair of pants that are definitely in pajama territory (well, especially the Punjammies), but I wear them out anyway. People wear sweatpants out, so who cares if I wear (what look like) fancy pajama bottoms?
