Insomniac Sale Picks: High-wasited Petite Pants

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Penelope requested a few picks for high-waisted petite pants, so here we go:

Lauren Ralph Lauren Side-Zip Ankle-Length Pants – was $79.50, now $35.99

This was a tough request, and lots of the available options are cropped for spring. Perhaps not ideal for more conservative workplaces, but fun for creative offices and weekend wear. This flat-front cotton pair hits at the natural waist and is available in black and bubblegum pink in petite sizes 4 -14. Sold out in size 10.

Lee Women’s Petite Relaxed Fit Plain Front Pant – was $48, now $22.28 – $39.99

You all know I’m a huge fan of all things Lee, and their Classic Fit is a comfortable high rise. This pair comes in an off-white that will work beautifully through spring and summer, and feature a relaxed fit which means they’ll be roomy instead of snug. Available in petite sizes 2 – 18.

Jones New York Signature Classic Refined Cotton Straight Leg – was $59, now $46.99

A classic, basic black dress pant with a natural rise and clean design with no back pockets and l-shaped front pockets. These guys are machine washable, too! Available in petite sizes 2 -14.

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for high-waisted petite pants:

  1. Lee – As I mentioned above, Lee’s Classic Fit sits at the waist, and they do both jeans and chinos in petite sizes.
  2. Talbots – Heritage Rise sits at the waist, and Hollywood Fit is above the waist.
  3. Zappos – Mostly because they stock Not Your Daughter’s Jeans in petite lengths, but there are some Levi’s and Jags mixed in, too.

I’d love to see reasonably priced jeans that are not so low cut your behind hangs out!! I am so tired of trying to find reasonable jeans.

Thanks for liking Lees! I have tried other kinds of jeans, but always come back to Lees. They fit me great and are reasonably priced. Some stylists call them Mom jeans because they come up to the waist. That is where I want my jeans to come. I do not want my 60+ butt hanging out! I hate seeing people with their backside hanging out and I would think it would be cold here in the Midwest! Love your blog!

I love Lee jeans too but am always told to pull my shirt down in the back when I’m wearing them. I guess it’s to cover the “mom jean” look. I’ve tried mid-rise boot cut jeans with pockets but they only seem to make my behind look bigger. I’m not sure about the “skinny jeans”. Seems like they would accentuate a person’s behind to look bigger since the legs are skinny at the ankle. It’s a conundrum. Maybe you could do a blog entry on the subject??
