*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*
Patricia requested a few picks for knee-length swishy or full skirts so here we go:
LOFT Pleat Front Mid-length Skirt – was $69.50, now $26.99
(Additional 40% taken at checkout, no code needed)
Midi skirts are relative, and although this one is 28.25″ long which would put it at mid-calf on me, I wanted to include at least one longer option. Most of the full skirts on the market these days are well above the knee, it seems! This rich blue will be gorgeous all summer, but also transition into fall wear. Available in sizes XS – XL. Also in petites.
Grace Elements Smocked Printed Peasant Skirt – was $59, now $25.29
with code HOT
Peasant skirts aren’t usually my bag, but MY GOODNESS do I ever love that print! Multicolored with black and white? Fabulously versatile. This design features tiers so it might not feel as full to some, but has plenty of flow and flip to it. Available in sizes XS – XL.
Boden Pretty Pleat Skirt – was $88, now $52.80 – $66.00
I’ve been lusting after this skirt since I first saw it in the Boden catalog months ago. I love the slight sheerness and graduated dot print. Available in green, orange, and blue in sizes 2- 18, including some long lengths. Size availability varies by color. (Also love the Summer Flower and St. Ives skirts from Boden, which aren’t as pleat-intensive.)
Banana Republic Sabrina Full Skirt – $79.50
It’s not on sale, and it’s only 21″ long … but I just couldn’t resist throwing this one out, too. This banded waist style is my personal favorite, and this skirt comes in citron, cobalt, and black. And it has pockets. YES TO POCKETS. Available in sizes 0 -16.
Other not-currently-on-sale resources for knee-length swishy or full skirts:
- Boden – You can search for knee-length and below-knee styles, many of which are a-line or flared.
- eShakti – This company’s default length is below-knee, but they also stock lots of knee-length skirts and many of their designs are pleated or full.
- Land’s End – Most skirts are cut long and virtually none are fitted or pencil style.
- And, of course, THRIFT STORES! Longer hemlines were stylish in decades past, so those will be abundant. Truly full skirts might be harder to find, but a-lines and swishy styles are readily available. (thethriftshopper.com can help you locate stores near you.)
