Insomniac Sale Picks: Lab-friendly Shoes

*In this late-night feature – which will run Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of each week – I’ll gather up three fun items that are currently on sale online and share them with you! I would LOVE suggestions: Stylish wide-width pumps? Classic v-necked sweaters? Chandelier earrings? Petite dress slacks? What would you like to see featured?*

Mary Beth requested a few picks for fun and stylish shoes that will work in a lab environment – flat, entirely enclosed, comfortable, easy on-off – so here we go:

MIA Eleanorr – was $49.95, now $34.99

I love the look of laceless oxfords, which are equally cute peeking out from pantlegs and worn with tights and skirts. They’re slip-ons, so easy to get on and off. This pair is metallic silver, which gives it added oomph, but this style also comes in a more subtle black metallic. Available in U.S. sizes 6 – 10. (More laceless oxford options here.)

DV by Dolce Vita Faven – was $99, now $44.99

Wild print, I know, but I LOVE it. Just imagine these with black dress pants or jeans – a little hint of pattern to spice up a lab outfit. However, if they’re just too much for you, the same style is available in black, taupe, and a zippy cobalt. My own DV shoes are comfy and cute, and the zipper makes these easy on-off. Available in U.S. sizes 6 – 10. (More flat ankle booties here.)

Clarks Valley Lounge – was $99, now $79.20
with code SAVEMORE

Smoking slippers aren’t really my bag, but they’ve been trendy for several seasons now and are comfy, slip-on-able, and offer full coverage. And these are Clarks, so guaranteed to be comfy. Available in U.S. sizes 6 – 10. (Also full price in leopard here and blue, mustard, and red here.)

Other not-currently-on-sale resources for lab-friendly shoes:

  1. Clarks – With chic flat booties of all kinds and peerless comfort, this brand is a great bet. Plenty of pull-on and zip-up styles for easy on-off.
  2. Tsubo – Boots and booties, laceless oxfords, and extremely comfy wedges. I’m drooling over these updated riding boots, though this pull-tab bootie might be better for the lab.
  3. Born – Another standby for comfort and class. These buckled Beatle boots would be stellar.
